About me
Dedicated to education and international exploration, I have an intense desire to explore the greater world around me and understand as much as I can of it. A hard and earnest worker, I have an adamant interest in media, feature journalism, history, and culture.
I've spent most of my young adult life travelling on my own accord, having backpacked through Europe and lived abroad three times by the age of twenty-five. I taught English in Japan for a year, experiencing not only the beauty and importance of cross-cultural education, but an improvement in my own communication skills.
In addition, I have worked on some smaller projects, which are listed below:
Baker Street Babes Podcast: Special interest podcast with over 100,000 listens and a large cross-platform social media following. I've interviewed actors, authors, scholars, composers, and others associated with the Sherlockian world, including those involved in the Warner Bros film and the BBC series.
Shizuoka Chronicle: Prefecture wide ALT produced English newspaper. Served on the editing committee and organized and edited the Lifestyle section of the paper. 2010.
Volunteered for the Tel Gezer Project in Israel for the summer of 2008, June 20th - July 25th. I became a part of a professional archaeological team and assisted in the excavation of the Iron-Age site of Tel Gezer.
