About me

I recently finished working for Gilles Peterson and his label Brownswood Recordings. I was there for just under three years and the experience i gained there has been truly invaluable. Being such a small company and team, it enabled me to get involved in all sides of running a label and explore different sides of the industry. My duties ranged from digital marketing, which included a great deal of social media work for both Gilles and Brownswood, licensing, A&R, distribution, online store management, podcast creation and much more, including attending Gilles' Radio 1 show every week, sourcing new music for it and handle all live fan interaction online.

As well as having worked for Brownswood, i a co run the record label 'Push & Run' which was set up last year. We have had three releases so far (2 from Ifan Dafydd and 1 from Pedestrian) and have a bunch of exciting stuff lined up for the future. I also manage two artists with my label partner, producer Ifan Dafydd and MTV unsigned 2012 winner Context.

I also recently started working as an intern with a company called C-Burn too, who deal with music consultancy and music solutions for bars, restaurants and other venues. I felt that gaining experience in this field would be a huge benefit for me and decided that interning was the right way to go. I have already been involved with working on briefs for such venues as All Star Lanes and Bumpkins and i have gained a great insight into this side of the industry.
