About me

Dear Sir or Madam

My name is Georgi Georgiev. I am a final year Graphic Design student at Coventry University and I am expected to graduate in July 2012. My time at university has been very beneficial for me, especially the studio culture that was practiced throughout the length of my course. I developed team working skills and better understanding of the creative process which would not have been possible in a conventional academic environment.

Alongside my studies in my last year I undertook a placement with the IEMS team at Coventry University as part of the Intrapreneurship @ Coventry University Programme. I had the chance to experience what it would be like to be responsible for the representation of the whole team as well as the events we organized. I worked in a small team of motivated people, each of us experts in their own field. My role as a graphic designer was to ensure the high quality of the promotional materials both in print and digital media. I was part of the whole production process of these designs and even beyond that. We were involved in series of events on campus targeted at the students and even more events in the city targeted at the local community.

I believe I am hard-working and diligent in my work. I am passionate about my designs and I do not stop until my clients and I are completely satisfied with the results. I love typography and it is strongly present in my work. Print is my strong suit but I have also developed an interest in digital and web design. The result is that I can now design across variety of media.

Along the road I have worked on variety of freelance projects. I have established relationships with my clients and developed an excellent manner of communication with them in order to deal with their projects the best way possible.

Now that I am finished with university, I am looking for a great place to kick-start my career. Ideally I would be able to apply the creative skills I have developed so far as a graphic designer and gain hands-on experience.
