About me
I have been working as a professional photographer for over 10 years and a photographer for almost 20 years. I have taken on varied projects during my time as a professional photographer. The commissions ranging from family portraits to birthday parties, products and food photography, commercial projects for PR and editorials. Out of the studio, there is one of my favourite assignments; the weddings. Furthermore, there are location portraits for corporate clients where I travel to their offices and setting up a mobile studio. Most recently, I have started to work with few companies on high-end property photography.
My passion for photography starts during my undergraduate studies in film production. Then, during my post-graduate studies in film theories; I begin to take photography really seriously. I begin to integrate some of the ideas in cinema into my photographs, I developed the idea that every image should tell a story, just like how film directors would frame an image on the screen. My background in film becomes a real asset when making images for my clients.
After winning few national and regional awards from BIPP (British Institute of Professional Photographers) and subsequently rewarded with an associateship from BIPP and RPS (Royal Photographic Society). I set up my own photography company and studio; Lux Vita Photography.
For over 10 years, I had the privilege to operate the company with a photographic studio. However, due to unforeseen circumstance, I lost my studio space and now operating as a freelance who concentrate on weddings and commercial projects. Thou, my passion and knowledge for studio works hasn't diminished. In fact, I have my studio lighting equipment where I can set up a location studio and provided studio-quality portrait and product images.
I am looking forward to seeing what's the next 10 years will bring and looking forward to the new challenges.
