About me

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics from Sabanci University, one of the best and well-known universities in Turkey (Istanbul) where I was granted a merit scholarship covering 4+1 years of undergraduate education. Besides the engineering education I received in Sabanci University, I have been able to take advantage of many Visual Communication Design courses as free electives (60 ECTS), which provided me hands-on experience on design and background on aesthetic awareness and visual culture. On the other hand, I believe, two internships I completed in advertising sector, in creative advertising agencies (TBWA Istanbul, Concept) as copywriter, as well as freelance graphic designer during my bachelor, helped me with improving my quick and creative thinking and problem solving skills. The combination of my self-interest into creative sectors, especially to product design, with academic education and professional experience provided me the analytical thinking, creativity and design thinking skills, gave me the opportunity to participate few exhibitions with my works (Singapore, Turkey) and win an innovation competition by Digiturk, famous Turkish satellite service provider.

As a result of my passion to the product design, currently I am studying for the Master of Science Degree in Integrated Product Design in Brunel University, London. Throughout this graduate education, I undertook or will undertake several projects and research in varying areas from market research and design strategy to sustainable design. With my graduation from Brunel University, I will be experienced and educated in wide range of fields including design futures, sustainable design, cognitive ergonomics, strategic design management and in many others.
