I wish to apply for your advertised position. The opportunity your company is offering is one that particularly interests me in relation to my career goals. Recently, I completed my undergraduate Bachelor of Business degree, majoring in both Management and Marketing.

My academic results throughout my course have been of a high standard that demonstrate my well developed written and verbal communication skills. I will be happy to provide you with any reports or pieces of assessment to support my application. In my first year at University, I was presented with a Marketing Award for Excellence in my Buyer Behaviour unit which was sponsored by the recruitment team at L'Oreal Australia. This award included a student affiliate membership to the Australian Marketing Institute.

I believe I can be a confident researcher as in 2010, I was one of twelve students who were selected to undertake a Marketing enhanced research skills unit which has prepared me for an Honours degree should I wish to take up this option. I achieved a High Distinction grade in this unit that involved the critical analysis of a variety of articles to form a comprehensive literature review on a self selected topic. My area of study was music's affect on consumer behaviour.

At the beginning of 2011, I was invited to participate in the Monash marketing international study program in which I visited several renowned corporations to meet and network with global senior marketing executives. The company that interested me the most involved music marketing, music retail and the collaboration of record labels and bands with product brands. My long-term goal is to work for a similar company in order to assist in the development of the music industry.

My casual work has brought me in contact with a diverse range of customers, all of whom expect their needs to be satisfied. As a function and wedding co-ordinator I have had to lead and manage all aspects associated with these events, from organising floor and kitchen staff to planning and marketing wedding packages. During my second undergraduate year I was accepted as a student ambassador to represent Monash University. This enhanced the development of my team, leadership, marketing and communication skills.
