About me
My portfolio CV is now up at *!
In the past, I was a Journalist and a Multimedia editor - and I am still active in communications. I am also a Digital Anthropologist who specialises on community informatics, participatory design and knowledge transfer via situated learning in workplace settings. I use my editorial, digital and anthropological skills to inform the digital marketing campaigns I've done.
I enjoy doing creative writing and visualising digital campaigns for science and technology. I do PR and events for our sci-tech projects at The London Design Festival. A bit of a tinkerer, I am also writing an Apple app, my idea of a present.
I started out as a newspaper reporter for The Sun Daily Malaysia while I was still at university. I still write for that newspaper, even in the UK.
My two-year masters research for Digital Anthropology is on how a community use emails to mobilise against crack dealings, and how the nearby town square redevelopment assisted the spread of crack dealings to nearby areas. A much happier research was on the dating strategies in using Apple dating apps. You can read more at */
