Dear Sir or Madam My name is Tina Heuer and I am a German graduate of the BA degree in Tourism Management at the University of Hull. I am applying for the position in administration or customer service to start immediately. Since I was born and raised in Germany, I was educated within the German school system. Due to that I am fluent in German. Additionally, after finishing my vocational school in tourism, the University of Hull accepted me onto their tourism management programme and offered me a scholarship. Studying in the United Kingdom helped, delevoping my English skills even further and also offered many opportunities to engage in the student life outside my studies. So, I joined the Student Ambassadors and became a Course Representative this year. As well, I am holding a major role in the International Student's Association which is involved in event management or trip planning. All the activities I participated in were enhancing my communication skills, time management abilities and team work. It also helped me to learn balancing several tasks, such as organising an event while also writing assignments and preparing for meetings as a Course Representative. Being involved in extra-curricular activities also improved my networking skills and customer service abilities. Most of the tasks and duties also required me to work independently or within a small team. While studying tourism at the vocational school Edu.Con Privatschulcampus in Potsdam, Germany, my interest in travel and tourism was enhanced and basic knowledge of operations in the industry founded. At The University of Hull @ Scarborough Campus, I was able to build on and develop that knowledge further in areas like cultural tourism, special interest tourism and marketing. I was interested and challenged by the lectures and assignments appointed during the modules. Throughout the three year programme I, however, developed a particular interest in organising and assisting a person or a team with their everyday work. After my graduation in July, I started working on the English language summer school of the University of Hull as an activity coordinator and summer school secretary. It involved organising trips and activities for a group of international English language students as well as being the first point of contact for the students. During all those activities I developed the strong wish to pursue a career with high customer focus and the opportunities to accompany my strong administrative skills by supporting a company a creative and cultural environment.
