About me

I have recently completed a BA (Hons) Degree in Textiles at the Arts University College at Bournemouth. Throughout the Degree I developed skills within print design and dye techniques for fashion purposes. I am a hard-working and creative person with good communication skills and have proved myself when working as part of a team.

I specialise in hand printed design and complement this with some CAD embroidery skills. This could be easily applied to children's wear, as my designs are illustrative and bold in pattern and colour. These factors are very important to me as I feel that they are both vital in making a fabric sample successful.

In the first year of my degree I took part in a live brief work placement for a local design studio, which involved working freelance. This was a great opportunity and taught me the importance of self-motivation within my own practice. I am confident in Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop. I have also completed an ABC Computer course within Adobe Illustrator.
