About me

Hello,

Currently i am working freelance and producing independent work in stop motion and 2d traditional/digital animation. During the past few years i have completed an animation degree and a creative business fellowship. Upon completion of the fellowship i and a co-worker registered a mixed media studio of our own. However, for the past few months i have been working solo as a freelance Animator and Illustrator.

Typically i am the type of person who jumps in the deep end and gets stuck into situations, i don't mind moving out of my comfort zone to improve myself and my skills. However, i also have an understanding of what may be too far and know my boundaries very well. Personally i feel i would benefit from working for a company/studio - Allowing me to gain more experience and knowledge of the industry and how a studio is run.

As a freelance animator starting my career and after taking a creative fellowship in creative business i spend a lot of time building up my online presence and attending networking events. I understand that social media is a vital piece of the industry and enjoy the process. I have over the passed years built up an online presence for myself using facebook, twitter, youtube, linkedin, blogspot, google buzz and more - An online presence i am quite proud of so far. I have both a personal blog and a work related blog which i update as regularly as possible. I use facebook and twitter on a daily basis but don't allow it to distract me from other areas or work.

I have previously worked both by myself and as a part of a team/group. A few years ago i was the type of person who liked doing things on my own as i wanted to be able to achieve things without the help of others. I learnt the hard way its okay to ask for help and advice from time to time. I never saw myself as much of a people person but wanted to change this. I could never speak confidently in front of a large group of people so i pushed myself into situations where i had no choice, so i grew as a person. Personally, i am proud of my achievements and i know i would continue to push myself further to improve myself and my skills. Over the passed year i have been working for zulogic, presenting seminars/workshops and attending conferences demonstrating their zu3d software to large amounts of industry professionals. This itself proves how far i have come and how much i intend to work to do my best and improve.
