DearSir/Madam,

With a background in copy writing and journalism and a 1st class degree in business & management I now want to further my career in a strategic and challenging business environment.

During my 5 years experience as a Copywriter (clients included Davidoff, Jil Sander, Joop!) I have developed a real passion for understanding purchase decisions and how to affect them with carefully thought-out brand messaging communicated through a range of different channels.

The job further exposed me to the importance of market trends and gave me an understanding their impact on consumer dynamics, skills that I believe are very useful in any professional setting. Having worked both as a freelancer as well as on the agency side, I have experience with developing client proposals in a team as well as independently.

Later on, when working as a Journalist, I spent a large amount of time in professional contact, organising interviews, investigating stories and networking with other professionals in the industry. Working on daily news further enabled me to develop the skills required to keep calm under pressure and to prioritise myself to complete required tasks thoroughly and on time.

Additionally, I have worked as a Researcher for a number of organisations and have therefore experience in database keeping and other organisational tasks.
