About me

I currently work for Hubert Burda Media UK as a Production Manager and have over nine years experience of delivering high quality magazines and other printed material, on time, within budget and to a commercially acceptable standard. I worked in production for BBC Worldwide's magazine division for five and a half years and Dennis Pulblishing for two years.

During this time I have not only furthered my understanding of magazine production and print, but also all stages involved in producing, finishing and distributing high quality printed materials. Through working with a wide range of media professionals I have a strong working understanding of editorial workflow, marketing, promotions, sales, distribution and many other areas that make up a working commercial, print based company.

I have extensive experience of attending and having responsibility for a large number of passes for printed material, on a wide range of different presses, Gravure, Web Offset, Sheet fed and Digital. I also have experience of dealing with press passes for polythene-based jobs.

I have strong colour management and proofing skills, gained through my experience of dealing with a wide range of quality print industry professionals. I also have hands on experience both in organising and maintaining IT systems key to design and pre-press.

I'm looking for senior positions in Magazine Production and I am also keen to use my experience and skills in a client based contract publisher or creative agency.
