Home hardware is an interesting category, we call it ‘home fashion’, as it seemingly follows seasonal trends while also attempting to maintain a timeless appeal. Often a low stakes category in terms of manufacturing sophistication, regulation and capital costs, hardware is a labor intensive project of design exploration and detail execution.

Conducting competitive marketplace analysis, qualitative studies, ethnography, trend shopping, trade shows, etc… Defining what success looks like by establishing target market segments and mapping retail channel opportunities.
