ABOUT

We were commissioned to create a short film documenting a dynamic new iteration of Do Ho Suh’s iconic Public Figures sculpture, as part of his major solo exhibition Walk The House at the Tate Modern. This latest version reimagines the static monument from the steps of the Smithsonian as a living, breathing procession. Its base bearers no longer fixed in place, but carrying the plinth by themself.

Shot on location in and around the Tate Modern, the piece follows the Public Figures as they journey from outside of the Tate Modern into the vast industrial space of the Turbine Hall. Their destination being a position outside the exhibition entrance, where our film now plays continuously beside the sculpture itself.

Capturing both the physical and symbolic weight of the work, the film reflects Suh’s enduring exploration of collectivity, memory, and movement. It was a privilege to collaborate on such a meaningful and dynamic extension of his practice.
