As somebody with a keen interest in English history, I've always found it a bit sad that our folklore is so often overlooked by novelists and filmmakers.

To counter the scores of books and screenplays drawn from Greek, Egyptian or Hebrew beliefs, I decided to write an epic adventure drawn from our own early culture. My original plan was to write just the one book, but it soon became clear the story would easily stretch to two.

I published the first instalment in 2015, and the next in 2017. I am presently working on the third. In addition to writing, editing and proofing the main text, I have designed the covers, written appendices, overseen publication as an ebook and paperback, and set up a factual website to explain the concepts.

I cannot claim to have drawn the artwork you see on the covers, but the idea, layout and words are mine.
