ABOUT
I was tasked with re-creating a shoe model from an actual physical shoe. With that, there were quite a few considerations to account for:
The sole had to be modelled which resulted in Mesh Fusion being used, this gave great control over the chamfered edges along with child models being modelled with subD methods. This would then allow deformations to be worked out by the production company (Fakery) using Cinema 4D.
The other consideration was that it was to be animated using Cinema 4D, I had to make sure the geometry went across in a clean and usable fashion, to ensure that UV maps controlling the textures would carry over.
The turn-around was quite tight, due to starting a new contract, falling ill and only having the evenings to produce the shoe.
