Robert Fripp, founder of prog rock grandees King Crimson, photographed at his home for the cover of Guitarist magazine.

Robert is an enigma. After years of attempts Guitarist Deputy Editor David Mead finally received the reply he'd been waiting for - Robert had agreed to an interview and a portrait session. Before this would happen though David had a pre-interview call with Robert - he wanted to make sure that David knew about him and the band well enough. David has been a devout fan for decades (thankfully).

Photographed in his kitchen which we delicately turned into a makeshift studio for the morning.
