A number of things haunt the large Kol wolf, but few linger on the day to day as a sore effect to one's most important muscle. Solene had borne the brunt of the blame, spouted by Heel's superior volume and aggression; she had become a villain in his eyes, and damned be clarity or sense. He would not be swayed; it was her doing that lost them his only child, his sweet daughter. So, she became absent from his life. It's that absence, the lack of someone close, that haunts him. With Solene and Mantis both gone from Kol, Heel wallowed in loneliness, and still does to this day, even as he takes on the Adnos trade. His presence communicates strength and loyalty, but his heart is the loneliest heart he's ever known.
