ABOUT

In the beginning of 2013 I started to create my first serious collages. I was driven by the urge and dream to create otherwordly, sensual, exotic, creepy and enigmatic works of art that disclose fantastic surreal realms, blooming explosions of parallel universes and the magic garden of esoteric, occult, mythological and archetypal elements. Central motif is usually a female creature, a goddess, a sorceress, an enchantress, a femme fatale, a pagan witchy entity that dominates a ritual, a feverish BDSM orgy or just a pure emotion or a cocktail of dissonant, conflicting moods. I also put an accent on the contrast between organic and artificial (nature, wildlife, flora and fauna versus people, aliens, robots, hybrids). Everything is dark and sexy, sensual and sinister. I was inspired by old Hollywood glamour and silverscreen icons, seedy underbelly of high society, bizarre conspiracies, alien abductions, secret societies, classic and cult cinema, music, pop culture in general, ancient history, hallucinant imagery of a paranormal phenomena and edge states of consciousness, the grandiose and voluptuous darkness, vastness and depth of the ocean of Id, psychoanalysis and many, many more. It all fused into one cauldron through my pondering about all the books I ever read and other sources of knowledge I devoured, so I started channeling that food for rumination and imagination.
