About me

I am a designer currently working in the South West of England looking to further my design

career within a company that will help me to expand my own design abilities and knowledge.

I have just completed a two year Knowledge Transfer Partnership with the University of the

West of England within their Centre for Fine Print Research. This focused on developing custom

workflow processes specific to a host company's needs. I was also leading the integration of a

colour management system to refine the print output performances of their equipment. The

KTP was instrumental for me to see how academic systems and inputs could be related to a

commercial environment whilst making their workflow processes more efficient.

I have been working actively in the design industry for the past 8 years in both Ireland and the

UK. In my current role I am working as a Creative Designer and Large Format Print Manager

with UWE CFPR and Ringway Ltd. Ringway is the UKs largest Manufacturer of Signage.

Having worked in several disciplines within the graphic design industry I have aquired a

comprehensive knowledge of design processes in graphic design & illustration for both print &

screen output, newspaper production and digital pre-press.

I have 8 years experience working in multidisciplinary design, I have specialised in Large

Format Digital Printing and have been working with the University of the West of England's

Centre for Fine Print Research for the past 2 years .
