For the launch of Warzone Pacific, Call Of Duty's battle royale game, the biggest influencers in the world were sent out to Caldera: the fictitious paradise island only accessible in the game. Travel influencers were asked for unpublished footage showing them in a tropical location, which was then reimagined as Warzone gameplay using intense, unexpected visual effects. The influencers posted and geotagged the island. Athletes and even a few celebrities were later sent to the island, immediately turning Caldera into the new 'it' destination on Instagram.
