Back in July 2007 as part of the credit system for completing the 2nd year of my 3 year Tecnical Diploma in Graphic Arts I was lucky enough to do a 1 month internship in GQ Portugal. This is the publication that ensued.

This was a joint team effort as it always is for this kind of work. I was allowed to do the page layout for a few pages, bank image search duties and some of the .EPS clipping paths.

I was lucky to arrive right when the magazine production started, so I distinctively remember how the "abstract" planning worked (before any articles being in) and how the behind the scenes pitches for the cover piece went.

Originally we were going for Luis Figo wife, Elen Svedin rather than the Portuguese actress we ultimately went with, but although she wanted to be involved she was fully booked for that month, there was still a phase were we were just waiting for that to materialize still so the change came quite late in the magazine schedule. I believe that original pitch materialized a few magazines afterwards.
