About me

I am Pedro Rodríguez Capella, a Spanish/London-based designer with a postgraduate diploma in Context In Fashion from (UPF) University Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona.

Since 2013, I have been working in different positions as a Product Developer and Head of Design, working with leading international brands and manufacturers across the UK, Spain and Italy, key achievements include:

Responsible to design an Iconic woman footwear collection (Mains, Pre, Cruise, Show, couture) reporting directly to creatives directors.

Collaboration on a daily basis with Product development, Leather Goods, RTW,, Merchandising , hardware, print and graphic designer team.

Exceptional sketching skills.

Trend direction and Mood boards presentation.

Research of materials and color inspiration.

In-depth knowledge of material related to footwear.

In-depth knowledge of footwear constructions.

Knowledge of technical aspects related to shoes ,good understanding of pattern cutter.

Designing new last, new soles, new heels and new hardware (concept sketches and technical draw) visiting directly suppliers.

Visiting factories to check new developments.

Trade show Attendance.

Technical English and Italian specs and amendments.

Knowledge of photoshop and illustrator.

Strong organizational skills and ability to handle and prioritize tasks efficiently.

Solid team player with ability to work effectively as an individual and within a group.

Creative problem solver.

Responsible to manage a team.

Improvement of quantity each season during my employment.

As a Creative I am seeking a new challenge, which will extend my design skills, in ways that push contemporary design thinking, as well as build on my international connections, and experience in manufacturing processes.
