Hi. My name is Pedro Costa and I'm passionate about many things: video games, photography, diplomatic history... the list goes on. But life is much more than your interests. Life is what you do with it. Ask not what the world can do for you, ask what you can do for the world, is my current motto. I want to do relevant, challenging and fulfilling things.
I've been an academic leader at 21 and I led an amazing team that helped me organize a cycle of high profile conferences. I've worked in a bar and in the best hostel in Oporto. And then I had my big break: PR Assistant at a PR Travel Agency in London called Hills Balfour. What a time! All alone in this metropolis, sleeping in a room the size of a matchbox and working in a fast-paced environment working for high-profile clients such as the tourism offices of Chicago, Israel or Portugal. After this awesome semester I thought the best would come next. But then I hit my first big obstacle. My father is a heart patient and his condition had worsened. My support was needed and I couldn't, in good conscience, ignore this family crisis. And so I came back to Oporto with the hopes of finding a job. But things are bleak in Portugal in terms of employment and I struggled professionally. Now things are looking up and I want to put my life back on track and embrace new challenges elsewhere. Heart warming, I know, but not the best thing for your resumé. But I will persevere and I will give it my everything to prove I'm worth it!
