ABOUT

In 2017 Ibbleobble won 'Best website' - an award I was extremely proud of. As Ibbleobble's brand, design trends and technology updates moved on, I took the time to look at improving the site as I am a firm believer of 'always having room for improvement'.

With any design and development job I do, I always try to be incredibly original in my approach, so like to design and build my sites from scratch. This includes wireframing, front-end build (using Bootstrap 4) Wordpress Integration as a tried and trusted process to get a job done to a high standard. Nobody likes seeing template off the shelf websites, do they? ;o)

I would prefer to summarise the site to the key features and hope you take the time to go have a look.

- Introduction of a rounded more child-friendly font to go in line with the update of all Ibbleobble apps

- Bespoke, big, clean photography (from the aid of my niece and nephews) using mobile devices

- Continuing with the 'big' theme, big type, big buttons, big icons and big clickable icons encouraging visitors to the site to go and explore.

- Made an improvement to our 'tone of voice' and wording on the site to be more informative and easy to digest

- A focus on click-throughs to our download page I felt was an essential improvement, so you will hopefully notice there are a fixed call to action elements on all our key pages (such as our app detail pages)

- I experimented with fixed left navigation (a method in my madness) as I wanted to almost 'tuck' the navigation elements away with a view of presenting all the content in a clear and informative way. The fixed-left element means its easily accessible should you need to navigate around the site. I also included more on-page navigation (with the aid of smooth scroll) allowing people to not heavily rely on the left navigation

- I weaved 'tooltips' throughout the site to aid user-experience. I am a stickler for 'bells and whistles'

- Like the previous Ibbleobble site, I was keen to have fixed elements (such as the App showcase) which features on every page of the site. I put these icons in tabbed navigation so it was clear to know what Apps Ibbleobble have in their portfolio. People can then browse at their leisure and find the content efficiently

- Additional 'bells and whistles' include Ibbleobble facts, user testimonials, informative videos and free downloads

- As ibbleobble is a very 'social' brand, we also encourage visitors to connect with us through our social channels

I hope you take the time to go have a browse!

Best Wishes!

Paul :)
