Photographed on location, this portrait of endurance swimmer Ross Edgley was designed to capture the raw presence and power that define his extreme feats in the water. Assistants threw sheets of water across the frame during the shoot to create natural motion and energy, helping evoke the relentless force of open-water swimming. The final image was then carefully retouched to enhance texture, atmosphere and impact, shaping the water and light into a dramatic portrait that reflects Edgley’s strength, resilience and commanding physical presence.
