ABOUT

I was approached by a local IT business — most of whom I know through various local networking events — to give their identity a bit of a refresh. We had our introductory meeting, catching up on everything as well as discussing the company in more detail — looking back at where they started, where they are now and where they're aiming for in the future.

Following the meeting I promptly sent a quote and waited for a response. In the meantime, I began to get a little carried away with ideas, including this belter of a concept that works on so many levels it could almost give you vertigo!

Playing around with simple square "pixel-like" building blocks to create the number 15, I had one of those serendipitous moments as I spotted the letter 'F' within the negative space. Not only does it include the number fifteen and the initial letter F, it is also made up of exactly 15 squares!! (insert exploding head emoji)

Long story short, it turns out they were about to launch their own creative agency and were most likely just bench marking my quote, as they ultimately decided not to progress with the project. There's no hard feelings from my side, they're a good team and perhaps we'll work together in the future, it's just a shame this idea is destined to be confined to the cutting room floor.
