ABOUT

Amunet’s Fables – Book Cover Design Series

Amunet’s Fables is a richly imaginative collection that weaves moral tales, cultural heritage, and timeless wisdom through vivid storytelling. My design approach for the series focused on creating a cohesive visual identity that unites the books while allowing each story to express its own personality.
Design Concept

The covers draw inspiration from ancient African aesthetics, echoing the roots of Amunet’s mythical world. Each cover features symbolic illustrations — animals, landscapes, or artifacts — rendered in a stylized, almost folkloric manner. The goal was to give readers an instant sense of stepping into an oral storytelling tradition.
Execution

Series Branding: A consistent typographic style and layout position the series as a collectible set.

Color Palette: Each book has its own dominant color scheme, carefully chosen to reflect the mood and moral tone of its fable, while harmonizing with the others.

Illustrative Motifs: Hand-drawn, pattern-inspired elements frame the central imagery, reinforcing the cultural and mythical themes.

Print & Digital Ready: Designed to stand out on both physical shelves and online thumbnails.

Results

A visually unified series that invites curiosity and conveys cultural depth.

Covers that are striking both individually and as a complete collection.

Positive feedback for their storytelling quality — even before opening the first page.

Design Goal: “Each cover should feel like the first line of a fable — inviting the reader into a world where wisdom is hidden in every tale.”
