ABOUT
The brief was to design a dealership brochure showcasing two of the Aston Martin models:
Vantage Roadster and the Coupe.
The key design feature and consideration throughout the book was the geometric form
of the āVā of the Vantage logo.
At the initial design stage we encountered typographic limitations: in order to reduce
the cost of multiple language print runs, it was requested that all text must be placed
on negative white space. We used this restriction to our advantage by creating
dynamic layouts that played with white space and graphic V element.
Four photographers were commissioned. The task was to unify four styles of photography
together into one book. This included taking the raw imagery and preparing them for print
in post-production. Each shot needed to have the clarity and definition of the car retouched
back into areas where little or no light had caused the detail to be lost. An arduous but
worthwhile task.
To ensure the quality of the finished print, the imagery was approved on press, and the
end product was finished beautifully.
