ABOUT

CONCEPT

Artwork created for Marvel Comics’ Spider-Man 2099: Exodus. The story required a futuristic superhero world that still felt recognisably connected to the wider Marvel Universe, with strong characters, technology, action and clear sequential storytelling.

EXECUTION

I produced finished comic artwork in pencils and inks, working from the script and established character designs. I planned each page to keep the storytelling easy to follow while giving the action weight, movement and scale. The work included superhero action, character acting, futuristic environments and detailed technology.

I also designed Spider-Woman 2099 for the project. The design had to feel distinct while fitting naturally alongside Spider-Man 2099 and the visual language of Marvel’s 2099 universe.

RESULTS

The finished pages were published by Marvel Comics in Spider-Man 2099: Exodus Alpha #1 and Spider-Man 2099: Exodus Omega #1. The project shows my ability to work with established characters, follow an editorial brief and deliver professional pencils and inks for a major comics publisher.
