About me
-A journalist with a phenomenal amount of experience and the flexibility to learn how to transfer skills to different genres.
-I started my first day at the BBC being hammered with acronyms, I had no clue why an "AP" was asking me for "digi stock" and a "PD150 for a recce". Within three months I was acknowledged as one of the best researchers on the show having self-taught myself television the same way i self-taught myself how to design newspapers and make radio.
So what do I bring to the party
-Seven years of journalistic experience in television, newspapers, and radio working across a variety of fast-turnaround projects. Credits include, for television; BBC Watchdog, Rogue Traders, Should I Worry About...
-Involved in several undercover documentaries as both a reporter and advisor.
-Excellent editorial judgment, the ability to find stories and source contributors.
-Experience in researching stories, writing treatments for films, scripting, shooting and editing them for primetime BBC One.
-Worked on several development projects, coming up with ideas, finding presenters and directing tasters.
-I have experience of managing teams in a range of high-pressure and intense situations.
-Energetic, hard-working, enthusiastic and full of ideas. However stressful the project is I always retain my sense of humour. I have to, I support the Welsh rugby side.
