Dear Sir/Madam,
I am extremely passionate about all aspects of production and editing. I was able to gain significant practical experience in a variety of media, including film, music and television, during my recent college course where I achieved a BTEC in Cinematics, Film & TV (Distinction, Distinction, Merit equivalent to 2 A's & a B at GCSE A Level). I have further experience from acting assignments in television and publishing.
At college, I learned to use Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 to create short films, music videos and adaptations of graphic novels and after 4 years' experience of working with this software, I now feel very competent in its use. I have a good understanding of pre and post-production techniques, including working from a brief to create a final product, keeping within a specified budget, creating storyboards, health and safety tick lists and shot lists. I also have experience of using Adobe Encore and Adobe After Effects as I use them to create title sequences and to adjust sounds. Along the way, I have learned that some ideas aren't always practical however much you like them, so I am used to being adaptable to changing an idea in order to fit the brief. I am proficient and experienced in correctly naming and storing media files, including video and sound clips and I understand the importance of it so that work can be easily accessed and retrieved.
I have a good telephone manner gained from working in a market research centre for almost a year, where I carried out research for several high profile companies such as Mercedes Benz and British Gas, through contacting business and residential customers to complete surveys
I am very keen to meet you for an interview so I can show my genuine passion for the industry and I look forward to hearing from you.
