About me
After studying illustration at Southend technical college i moved to London where i became involved in the fashion industry working on fashion shoots and various art projects. In 1998 i was recruited by a well known hi-fi and home entertainment retailer working in marketing and graphic design.
Still keeping in touch with photographers and stylists i was able to use my passion for painting and illustration in studios and on location to create some impressive backdrops and scenes, this is where i felt most at home.
In 2000 i became freelance for an established bespoke furniture company, my new title as a specialist painter gave me the opportunity to create exiting artwork from portraits to murals and trompe lioile to finely painted furniture.
By 2003 i had gained a lot of experience working abroad and with clients and designers and was in the specialist decorative design business and was commissioned to design and build some successful restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
From 2007 i have been freelance and sub contracted while also putting on public and private exhibitions. Projects include modern and period property, hotels, schools, hair salons, bars, restaurants, nightclubs.
While in my studying years i found myself in other areas of art and took these methods and manipulated them to create the imagery i was happy with, in order to keep things fresh and exiting, this combined with skill and experience is something i continue to do from 2D design to 3D construction.
