PROTECT YOURSELF

Concept
During 2020, Chile was in quarantine for many months and all the brands in phase 1 of the pandemic turned to providing solutions or supporting the fight against Covid-19. Citroën Chile was no exception and to reinforce the use of masks by the population, it decided to carry out a very visual, simple and direct campaign where it would be clear that by wearing masks people were protecting themselves (the main measure to avoid contagion). For this, Citroën used its own car models and turned them into masks. It should be noted that in this period, 73% of people believed that buying a car was an excellent measure to avoid contagion.

Execution
The front masks of the C3, Berlingo and C5 models literally became facemasks and appeared in various outdoor formats (printed and digital), as well as on posters in all Citroën Chile branches and dealers. Each design closed with the phrase "Protect yourself" and each mask model had an elastic band ad hoc to each model design.

Results
Citroën Chile was the only automotive brand that during the quarantine period carried out a campaign focused on the use of masks to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Generating awareness and achieving earned media equivalent to 50K dollars.

Durante el año 2020, Chile estuvo en cuarentena muchos meses y todas las marcas en la fase 1 de la pandemia, se volcaron a dar soluciones o a apoyar en la lucha contra el Covid-19. Citroën Chile no fue a excepción y para reforzar el uso de las mascarillas por parte de la población, decide realizar una campaña muy visual, simple y directa donde quedará claro que al usar mascarillas las personas se estaban protegiendo ellas mismas (principal medida para evitar el contagio). Para esto, Citroën usó sus propios modelos de autos y los convirtió en mascarillas. Cabe destacar que en este período, un 73% de la gente creía que la compra de un auto era una excelente medida para evitar el contagio.

Execution
Las máscaras frontales de los modelos C3, Berlingo, C5, se convirtieron literalmente en mascarillas y aparecieron en diversos formatos en vía pública (impresos y digitales), así como también en posters en todas las sucursales y concesionarios de Citroën Chile. Cada diseño cerraba con la frase “Protect yourself” y cada modelo de mascarilla tenía elásticos ad hoc a cada modelo.

Results
Citroën Chile fue la única marca automotriz que en período de cuarentena hizo una campaña con foco en uso de mascarillas para la prevención de contagio del Covid-19. Generando awareness, concientización y logrando un earned media equivalente a 50K dólares en medios on y off.
