I am the social media manager of The Brighton Seagull, a new independent news website and email newsletter which aims to be a one stop shop for all local current events, investigating the most important environmental, social, and community issues as well as highlighting the best upcoming gigs, theatre shows, and exhibitions in Brighton and Hove. We wish to fight against the deluge of click-bait and copy-pasted press releases in traditional local news outlets, with relevant, clear, and concise stories written by the local community for the local community.
