ABOUT

Concept:
A detailed 3D recreation of the Tiger II with the Henschel turret, developed as a fictional “1946 continuation” variant. The goal was to create a historically grounded vehicle while adding believable late-war modifications, wear and environmental storytelling.

Execution:
I modelled the vehicle in Maya, including the hull, turret, wheels, tracks and smaller mechanical details. I used modular and procedural workflows where appropriate, including MASH for the track system. The model was UV mapped and textured across four texture sets using Substance Painter and Substance Designer. I created custom materials including Zimmerit, painted camouflage, dirt, mud, snow, surface wear and roughness variation. The final asset was assembled and presented in Unreal Engine 5 with atmospheric lighting, fog and cinematic camera work.

Result:
The project resulted in a detailed real-time vehicle asset of approximately 380,000 triangles including wheels and tracks. It demonstrates my skills in hard-surface modelling, vehicle creation, UVs, PBR texturing, optimisation, material creation and Unreal Engine presentation.
