ABOUT

As the final major project in my first year of college, 'To Escape is To Live' was a visual investigation into the coping mechanisms and sensory stimulation experienced by Neuro-Divergent individuals such as myself. I focused on stimulation via Nature and how we use it to escape, followed by escaping into the virtual world when playing video games.
I responded to my visual research through the use of paint and The Sims 4 as a medium, allowing the research to inform my colour palettes and abstract experiments in the real world as well as the fictional ones.
