Key illustrations used across the member's platform on AARP for their "Medical Breakthroughs 2024" feature.

Some of the most challenging health issues today are now manageable, and even curable, thanks to new game-changing technologies. Advancements taking place in cancer, heart health, infectious diseases, brain health, and more, are revolutionising healthcare: AI-assisted colonoscopies, lifesaving surgery for deadly bleeding strokes, a new treatment for C. Diff, small and easy insulin pumps for Type 2 Diabetes, game-changing treatment for heart failure.

The challenge was creating illustrations that informed and intrigued the older generation AARP audience, who perhaps aren't as trusting or accepting of technology in a health setting.

I concepted an idea-forward approach with a visual inspired by medical imaging that emphasised these incredible breakthroughs, in an engaging, and above all, human way.
