Especially when i was directing. From Rayong (Thailand) i pick up the phone and ask me if i could produce a shooting involving a french crew of 20 people and 5 clients agency rep. Of course they give me 3 weeks to manage a shooting in the temples of Angkor in Cambodia, with a US super star. The location scout can only be planned 48h before the shooting day, and she count on me to figure out how to get the local permissions for the prestigious historical site, knowing than they dont want to spend the usual 20K on the location ( the usual fee to privatise a secondary temple in this zone) Because it was too simple Thailand and Cambodia just started a war at the border the same day, and all the equipement and crew maybe 70% were supposed to transit by road - was fun.
