YOUR STORY

Your Story is a modern re-invention of the classic Guernsey. We have created a fully customisable system, which allows the user to ‘Find their story’ - with unique patterns for each local area allowing communities to form around their jumper designs.

The jumpers are knitted locally, maintaining a strong connection to British culture.

TYPOGRAPHY

The beginnings of the project were founded in a typographical exploration. We found that traditional Guernseys had the initials of the owner entwined in the jumper.

Therefore we have created a unique ‘Your Story’ typeface specifically designed for compatibility with the jumper. We have developed the branding based around a grid system which allows for an accurate digital representation of how the the patterns and typography would appear knitted on the garment, to allow for easy customisation.


MULTI-MEDIA BRANDING

The ‘Your Story’ branding has been designed to be fully compatible as a knitwear design. Each design can be created digitally then read directly as a knitting pattern by the maker.

SUSTAINABLE FASHION

Your Story aims to move away from society’s current unsustainable model of fast fashion back towards more traditional craft which can be handed down through generations.

COMMERCIAL FUTURE

Your Story has the ability to move into a commercial space. The business model has been designed to bring back craft, quality and tradition back to British fashion.
