ABOUT
I had an absolute honour to work with my client who just moved from the USA back to UK. They purchased a lovely farm house with many quirks as most listed II grade building would have.
The brief wasn't complicated however we had to explore many options before arriving at the final design.
Our initial idea was to create more modern yet sympathetic space and use a saw marked wood to add the roughness and texture, concrete like worktops and a range cooker as centre piece.
I have attached images of the first draft in the folder. As much as my client likes the idea, we all decided that perhaps going the shaker route will be more sympathetic to the building itself.
My clients worked closely with Farrow and Ball colour designer and we were able to select the perfect colour for bespoke made, wood painted shaker cabinets.
Another very important element of this project was the correct material for the worktop. I have pointed my clients to their local granite supplier. The selected granite was an amazing slab in Fantastic White from Perffts in Diss, UK.
The flooring used was Karndean, we supplied Smeg cream fridge and lovely light pendants from Norwich Architectural lighting Company.
It was an amazing transformation. I had a pleasure to also design 3 bathrooms in this property.
