ABOUT

Marco Serena & Officina Poligonale were approached by Stranger&Stranger to create the CGI packshots and advertising imagery for the launch of new Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto liqueur.
Italicus is the brainchild of Italian spirits expert Giuseppe Gallo who has revived the rosolio aperitivo category by replicating a recipe dating back to the 1800s. Production of Italicus – made at a family-owned distillery in Moncalieri, Torino – begins with bergamot from the UNESCO-protected area in the Calabrian region and cedro from Sicilia.

The two ingredients undergo the sfumatura process – a traditional technique for manually extracting essential oils – before being blended with Italian neutral grain spirit.
Stunningly presented, the Italicus bottle is intended to pay tribute to Italy’s history and heritage.
The stopper features a renaissance-style Bacchus harvesting bergamot, framed by the shape of a bergamot fruit, while the colour of the glass is reminiscent of the Grotta Azzura in Capri and the waters of the Amalfi Coast.
