ABOUT
Concept:
The visual concept for "Eat It Up" was built to match the high-octane, underground energy of the garage and electronic dance track. The goal was to subvert traditional, glossy rap video tropes by grounding the visuals in a gritty, high-speed night aesthetic that mirrors the raw youth-culture movement of the UK electronic music scene.
Execution:
Produced via Ocurens, the video utilizes fast-paced kinetic camera choreography and sharp, rhythmically locked editing techniques. I collaborated with cinematographer Sedat Taşkan to establish a deep, atmospheric color palette utilizing heavy shadows punctuated by sharp neon and car-headlight exposures. The post-production was meticulously paced to sync seamlessly with Skepsis's rapid bass drops, emphasizing momentum and continuous movement.
Results:
The project achieved critical acclaim across the European music film industry, expanding the digital reach of the track upon release. Notably, the film won the prestigious award for Best Dance / Electronic Video (Newcomer) at the 2025 UK Music Video Awards (UKMVA) and secured a nomination for Best Editing.
