ABOUT
With a monthly average of six to eight million user visits to The Student Room, it’s easy to see that students want real, unbiased reviews and stories about university life.
The ads in Lancaster University fine art and design student Naya Cooper's Digital Out of Home (DOOH) award-winning concept illustrate that whilst being a student isn’t always easy, Lloyds has a variety of student account perks that can help with these issues.
Users can scan a QR code from the ad and use experiential mobile AR to view a virtual array of everyday student life dilemmas like messy roommates, difficult landlords and empty fridges.
Participants can then add their own pictures to appear on the large format Out of Home screen, where viewers can the vote for the best submissions to win prizes.
The ads are scalable to most large format, high footfall areas for large scale impact, the ability to interact with the campaign remaining constant regardless of location.
Naya's idea won Ocean Outdoor UK's inaugural Student Prize, part of its annual Digital Creative Competition. Working to a brief set by Ocean and Lloyds, students were asked to turn money management into something their peers might want to engage with through relatable campaigns which use the creative freedom and scale of DOOH.
Naya's prize is a creative workshop with Ocean and Lloyds and two weeks' work experience with Ocean Labs, the brand experience and innovation division.
