ABOUT
One of the most compelling ways for charities to secure long-term funding is to demonstrate their impact. Charter Recovery Housing, together with its sister charity Supporting Lives, provides supported accommodation for people living with the effects of addiction. Beyond offering a roof over their heads, they actively guide residents through recovery from drug and alcohol dependence, while delivering both practical help and emotional support.
They commissioned us to create a series of short documentaries revealing the reality behind addiction and homelessness. Portraying lived experience demanded a high level of care and sensitivity toward those who courageously chose to share their stories. We worked to build genuine trust, and once that trust was earned, we portrayed them with honesty and respect, always placing safeguarding first.
The result is a series of films that capture the transformative effect these charities have on lives too often overlooked, amplifying voices that might otherwise go unheard.
