Thyroid cancer is a rare condition that disproportionately affects younger people. It is poorly understood by many general practitioners, and cases are often left untreated until they reach a dangerously advanced stage.

The UK’s leading patient support charity, Butterfly, asked us to create a broadcast television advert for a national campaign to raise awareness of the disease. The brief was simple: if you find a lump in your neck, get it checked.

This campaign, along with the one that preceded it, proved highly successful. Both led directly to many new cases of thyroid cancer being diagnosed and treated, ensuring people received life-saving care that might otherwise have been delayed.
