About me
Hi Everyone,
My name is Carolina Garrido-Lecca but you can call me Nuna. I am a Peruvian bilingual senior in Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration and a minor in Sequential Art. My main purpose in my illustrations is to express emotions, formulate ideas and share stories.
When I was a little girl I used to travel to Equator and Colombia with my family . This experience had build in me a easygoing personality with a huge passion for learning history and culture.
After I graduated from high school I volunteered as an art teacher at Kallpa in, Lima Peru, a program for adults and children with special needs. While teaching at Kallpa I was privileged to connect with students and used my knowledge of art, warm personality, and listening skills to make them feel comfortable and happy. The experience was unforgettable, and reinstated the importance of patience, social empathy and the power of individualism
I am a Self-Employed artist that have work in different projects such as freelance illustrations, storyboards for commercials and short films, line and ink for comic books and many other creative projects.
I am currently working a part time job at Savannah College of Art and Design in the new Interactive Museum SCADStory as a greeter and docent.
