Self-harm is the fourth most common concern that children and young people contact ChildLine about. In July 2013 we were asked to create a film that would speak to children who were affected by the issue, to let them know that they could rely on the charity for support.

Searching for a look that would reflect the incredibly personal, delicate nature of the subject matter, we decided to produce our first fully animated piece of work, collaborating with animator Yuka Takeda.

The finished film is a combination of stop-motion and hand-drawn animation. It won a Lovie Award for Best Animation.
