Equal Pay Day marks the day women stop getting paid for the rest of the year. So, why should they work? For the Women’s Equality Party, a UK political party, we created a way for people to protest from their desks. And we invented a brand new media channel in the process. We could have made posters, we could have made a film, but instead, we got people to switch on their Out Of Office. A guerilla media first. One tiny email to make a big point. Our message spread across the country with every email bounce back, generating a reach of 198 million through the media and two million on social. With NO media budget, we put gender equality on the minds of millions.
