As part of the Formations programme by the Bonington Gallery, in collaboration with the Postcolonial Studies Centre at Nottingham Trent University, I was given the opportunity to create artwork that responds to themes related to Black History Month, Black Lives Matter, and the Decolonisation agenda. The artwork, titled Snakey Friends II (Banned From Britain), 2020, will serve as a symbol for the Formations programme and will be exhibited at the entrance of Bonington Gallery throughout the duration of the programme, concluding in September 2021.
